The MA1250 is the third generation of an amplifier with
legendary reliability. 12 channel amplifiers have been built by Knolll
Systems in Canada since 1996. The MA1250 heraldes a new era in multi-channel,
high-quality, affordable power amplifiers. The MA1250 is designed to meet
the amplifier needs of custom installed multi-zone systems where high
quality sound is a specific requirement.
Extras such as the external voltage trigger that can turn
the MA1250 on and off, gold input connectors, individual level
or gain controls and channel link give the MA1250 exceptional value when
installed in large complex systems. Except for the power switch all controls
are rear mounted.
Cost and size efficiency. The MA1250 consists of a total
of 12 power amplifiers in one 3-1/2" high enclosure (two rack spaces).
Each power amplifier channel can deliver 50 watts RMS with peaks of 100
watts. Because of its unique design the MA1250 delivers exceptional value.
Automatic protection circuitry. Each MA1250 channel is
individually and fully protected against low impedance, overheating, overloading,
overvoltage and undervoltage. The protection circuitry automatically restores
the amplifier channel as soon as its parameter returns to the safe operating
area.
Individual level or gain adjustment. Each channel features
an input level or gain adjustment pot to precisely adjust each channel
for source and speaker sensitivity variations. The gain adjustments are
on the rear of the MA1250 as installers normally set the gain.
External power on/off. The MA1250 can be turned off and
on by external controllers. To activate the external or remote on/off
a DC 12 volt current is applied to the trigger jack (MA1250 power switch
is in the off position for external power control.
Channel link. Channel link allows the installer to link
any or all of stereo channels two through six to channel one (left and
right) without using Y cords or external adaptors. In certain applications
this feature reduces installation time, costs and wire "clutter".
MA1250 with internal fan. The MA1250 features an even quieter
internal fan to increase the long term power
output capability of the MA1250.
