Distribute stereo and composite video signals anywhere in the home or studio using category 5 cable and Knoll's UTP Transmission Systems. Send VCR, DVD, cable TV, satellite and security camera signals from a few feet to up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) of cable with no discernible audio or video distortion and better performance than the more expensive, specialized "designer" cables. The Knoll transmission system works better than conventional "balun" systems because the Knoll transmission system relies on active electronics rather than transformers that can saturate and are not as linear as active systems. The stereo and composite video transmission system comprises: a Send Unit for transmitting audio and video signals and a Receive Unit for receiving signals. A six outlet wall or SMC mount Hub is also offered if whole house distribution is required. Two or more Hubs can easily be ganged together for more outlets. Knoll UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair wire) transmission systems utilize advanced active electronics to operate with different topologies: 1. A stand alone send unit and receive unit
system with a single power supply. The send and receive units are available in an in-wall Decora version or mounted in a black enclosure. UB and UTP series can be mixed or matched as desired. The Hub is available in a wall mount version or can be installed in selected structured wiring centers. Send and receive units run on 12 VDC, and can be powered independently or through the Hub. Power for the send and receive units are supplied from a PS1202 power supply on one end only (only one supply is needed for both the send and receive). Hubs supply the power for itself and all send and receive units.
