HDO2200 Throw Distance: Thank you for choosing Knoll projectors! The HDO2200 is a super high output 1080p projector and uses a MaxPlay™ 16:9 digital light processing imager. It can display a wide range of formats from standard TV, extended definition TV through high-definition TV and films as well as computer images. Its lens allows for a wide level amount of zooming. One of the major advances to the HDO2200 includes a contrast ratio from 3000:1, more than enough for an excellent cinema experience. The video optimized brightness at D65 is a minimum of 4500 ANSI lumens, our brightest to date. This is more than 10 times brighter than a commercial movie screen image. The HDO2200 is future proof out of the box with HDMI 1.3b with Deep Color support (can display over 1 billion colors). The Knoll CM31 ceiling mount kit is easy to install and swivels for exact placement. It drops the projector about 3" and the projector lens is about 6" from the ceiling. If more of a drop is needed, the CM20+6 extender adds an extra 6" drop. As many CM20+6 can be added as needed. For fine-tuning the drop the CM25EX adjustable extender is available. It drops the projector a further 6.75” to 11” (17cm to 28cm). The HDO2200 can be tilted about +/- 13 degrees maximum when mounted using its digital adjustable keystone. For best overall image the HDO2200 projector should ideally be level if the screen is vertical (which is usually the case). Projection throw distances are the maximum and minimum horizontal distances from the projector lens to the screen. If the projector is mounted level (this is strongly recommended) the image will drop (ceiling mounted projector) or rise (floor mounted projector). If the projection distances below are not close enough or not far enough, Navitar makes excellent quality after market lens distance adaptors. Click here to go to the Navitar web site.

We suggest you do not mount projectors at their extreme minimum or maximum zoom limits wherever possible. A longer throw distance generally gives a better overall picture quality.
