Knoll has been making and selling infrared repeater and extender products since 1988. Our engineers have been hard at work improving our products. In addition to our improved analog repeater and extender products we are proud to offer DIGITAL INFRARED REPEATERS (DIR) Digital Infrared Repeater (DIR) is a new Knoll family of premium infrared repeater products. These products use a new system of digital signal processing to take an infrared signal apart and reconstruct it with any errors corrected. In real world conditions it should easily be able to pick up an indoor infrared remote control signal from 120’ (35m) or more and repeat it to the component with excellent results. Safe for use with plasma TV’s, direct sunlight up to 30' (10m) and CFL’s. Except for the DIR10P and DIR21P, all of the receivers need to have their signal processed by either the DIR54, DIR55 or DIR58 connection block. All of our line of value priced analog infrared repeaters have been upgraded to be CFL friendly. Infrared repeater systems "relay" infrared signals broadcast in remote rooms or areas to electronic components that respond to these infrared commands. Most IR commands originate from hand-held remote controls. Knoll IR repeater systems relay these commands to the distant component. In line with Knoll's commitment to high performance, flexible and easy to install products, Knoll infrared repeater systems offer almost unlimited system control from any room to any audio/video component, from basic systems throughout even the most sophisticated installation.
