Knoll engineers have designed a line speakers that deliver uncompromised sonic quality without the visual compromise of boxed or in-wall speakers. High efficiency and high power handling from exotic materials make for great sound quality. Silk, kevlar and neodymium (a rare earth element) are have been studiously blended to give top of the performance, expected from this class of speaker.

Silk dome pivoting tweeters with highly magnetic neodymium magnets feature switchable three level attenuation to give pristine highs at the correct level. The pivoting tweeters can be directed at the critical listening areas and if the room is "hot" the tweeters can be attenuated until the correct level is selected. The all new spider wave guide is so rigid it reduces reflections and resonance's and give a more balanced mid-range. The bass is tight with definition as the long excursion woofer is made from kevlar, the same stiff material used on the sails of racing yachts and bullet-proof vests. With finely tuned 3-pole crossovers these speakers have the desirable sonic characteristic of transparent vocals and they are very musical.

The SD652 speaker can be placed in virtually any location, ceiling or wall. The SE652 features super flat grills and frames that seem to disappear in the wall or ceiling. The SD652 is a dual voice coil 6-1/2" Kevlar woofer with two 1" tweeters so the left and right channels can be heard on a single speaker (ideal for hallways, ensuites and wherever stereo sound is impractical). Power requirements are 5 to 125 watts.

Wire Requirements:

When pre-wiring for Knoll SD652 speakers, the ideal wire to use is low oxygen copper, minimum 18 gauge. Runs longer than 33' (10 m) should be minimum 16 gauge wire. When "pre-wiring" leave an extra 3' (1 m) at each end to allow easy component installation.
